I am currently studying graphic design in my second year at Arts University Bournemouth. What I love about graphic design is the problem solving and ideation phase and I utilise my diverse skill set to find unique and relevant responses to briefs. I can use core graphic design applications including Adobe Creative Suite and have just learnt to code using css grid.
Recently I undertook a live brief with Wessex Museums to brand a touring exhibition. I found the experience of presenting to a live client exhilarating both in terms of the opportunity to share ideas but also in terms of developing my own communication skills.
Book and zine design, is also a passion. Not only designing them myself but also collecting them. I have produced several zines and also designed and made a 98-page book with an intaglio cover that communicates the process of the Hardy’s Wessex project. As a child with dyslexia, I hated reading, however, more recently I find myself idolising book designers for having the power to make the ‘reading task’ more easy through good typography and layout.
On a personal note I enjoy collecting all sort of things from vinyl to every tote bag on the market. I would say I am ambitious and resilient and someone who will put in all the hours needed to ensure my work is the best it can be. I am currently looking for work experience or internship over the summer. I would love the opportunity to show more of my work in person, so if this is a possibility, please feel free to get in touch, the coffees on me!
